“Ana Webber reached the final of a Leicestershire Grade 4 Winter County Tournament at the weekend. The Winter County Tournaments attract the top players from Counties around the UK. The Leicestershire tournament attracted entries from as far afield as Yorkshire, Cheshire and Hertfordshire.
Due to a player injury, Ana received a walk over in the first round and progressed into the semi finals. Here she came up against the number 2 seed from Nottinghamshire. Following a hard fought and close first set Ana took the first set, then got into her stride and comfortably won the second set and progressed into the final.
Following some exciting rallies and challenging play, Ana eventually lost to the number 1 seed from Bedfordshire.
