Re Return to Managed Play/July Club update
The Committee hope you are continuing to enjoy your tennis at the Club during this “Return to Managed Play” period.
The Committee have continued to monitor the functioning of the Club in recent weeks and to keep track of any updates in LTA guidelines. We have also maintained communication with the Council.
Going forward into July, previously published guidelines remain unchanged with the exception of the following:
The Council has agreed that, from Monday July 6th, the Clubhouse may now be used under strict safety conditions for emergency toilet use only. The Clubhouse is otherwise to remain closed.
To facilitate safe use:
Only one person is allowed in the Clubhouse at a time
The kitchen and seating areas to be blocked off
Internal doors to be left open
Anti-bacterial wipes and paper towels to be provided and discarded in bins close by the toilets
Signage to be in place to explain the above
Coaching staff and Committee members to maintain cleanliness
The emphasis is on emergency use only and members are asked to adhere strictly to this guideline.
The Committee has agreed to extend the permission for non Club members of a family to play free of charge until the end of July. In order to ensure this continues to happen safely, a reminder that the Club member must be present at all times when the non-member is at the Club and to have fully familiarised the non-member with both the LTA’s and the Club’s guidelines for safe play.
The Committee will continue to keep the Club’s operational framework under review as and when the lockdown eases further and/or LTA guidelines are updated.
