Dear Member
The Committee hope you are enjoying the opportunity to play tennis again, and that the emphasis on Singles Play in the Restricted Play framework is not causing ensuing stiffness nor injury!
Just a couple of practical matters to promote playing safely that have emerged from the first week of the re-opening of the Club.
1.A reminder that, in order for the Club premises to remain safe/secure, please can you close the external gate when you are leaving the Club if there are no players still on site. In order to facilitate this safely, please sanitise your hands before and after closing the gate.
- To avoid using net handles, please do not adjust the height of the net nor lower the nets after use. Dan Potter and the coaching team will safely ensure that the nets are maintained at the correct height.
Thank you for your support with the above.
FAMILIES OF MEMBERS
The Committee is aware there are teenage or, indeed, adult children of club members, who are presently staying with them during the lockdown period. In addition, there are likely to be spouses of members or other family who are presently spending a lot more time at home than they would normally do.
In order to be as helpful as we can over this exceptional period, the Committee will now be temporarily permitting non Club members of a family to play free of charge until the end of June, when the position will be reviewed.
In order to ensure this happens safely, Courts must be booked online, and the Club member must be present at all times when the non-member is at the Club and to have fully familiarised the non-member with both the LTA’s and the Club’s guidelines for safe play.
The Committee hope that the above initiative will be helpful to members and their families in this difficult period.
Kind regards
The Committee
